Unlocking the secrets to a successful building program

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." Is. 54:2 "For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him." Luke 14:28-29

It's the Lord who adds numbers to His Church, not just advertising or building programs. However, if God is bringing people to your local church, you have a critical decision to make: either provide space to accommodate them, or stay the same. And "staying the same" is another way of deciding that you will not grow numerical. Yes, there are many churches that are fully walking in their destiny without adding more facilities. But if God has stirred your heart to build, you must know where to begin and how to proceed. This can be an exciting time, but also perilous waters if you're not prepared for the challenges. One question you may have already asked is, "Why should I choose to use the services of Destiny Navigators rather than go directly to an architect or church builder?" Here's why:

  1. We have no hidden agendas. We do not represent a particular design or construction firm nor are we trying to sell construction design or management services. We simply want to give to you the advantage of our church construction experience that will save you time and energy.
  2. We've seen this entire process from the owner's perspective. I was the lead person who contacted, negotiated with and engaged professionals to build the 95 acre campus where I served for 30 years. I assisted in property acquisition and oversaw all building renovations and construction.
  3. We have the Construction Management experience to know what we're talking about. As a Professional Engineer, I worked for eight years as a Project Manager in commercial construction. And among my other duties in the church where I served, I managed all church properties and oversaw the construction/renovation of over 332,000 sf of buildings including the construction of a 5,000 seat sanctuary.

If you choose to use our services, we will share with you the secrets to a successful building program that few would know unless they've built church facilities and have worked in the commercial building industry. Here are some of the ways we can assist you:

Reviewing your existing facilities with recommendations for optimizing the use of your property for growth. Giving insight in planning, contract negotiations and project management as you move toward your destiny in God. Reviewing your property use plans and building designs for suggestions that will enhance the practical use of your facility. Providing a Check List of "Do's" and "Don'ts" that can save you much time, money and frustration. Suggesting ways to involve your congregation in the planning and construction process. This gives them a sense ownership of the building program. Giving options for seeking financing to acquire property, to build your new facilities or to plan an entire ministry campus. Showing how you can be sure you won't run out of money before your building is completed.
