Destiny Navigators

We are More Than a Professional Church Consulting Group…

We are seasoned eldership speaking into the lives of the next generation of pastors and church leaders. After 30 years of pastoral ministry, Bible teaching and administrative assignments in a large multi-ethnic church, I have gained priceless insights into the role of eldership… two walking together as one generation imparts truth, wisdom and solutions into the next. Specifically, there are many uncharted waters through which a shepherd must have a divine "Compass" magnetized by God's Spirit in order to navigate for his or her congregation, leadership and personal family. Toward that end, this ministry endeavors to serve the Body of Christ.

Dan RhodesPastor Dan Rhodes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1969. Called into the ministry in 1978, he left a Professional Engineering career to serve in a large multi-ethnic church with global influences. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from The American University of Biblical Studies, Atlanta, GA [A Presbyterian (PCA) seminary] in 1982. As a senior associate pastor, Pastor Rhodes co-founded the church's Bible School and served as the Dean of Theology writing and teaching Bible curriculum. In addition, he built and/or renovated over 332,000 sf of buildings on the church campus and gave oversight to the construction of a 5,000 seat sanctuary. He has produced over 60 written works consisting of books, a devotional series, workbooks and study guides. Pastor Dan Rhodes is now a member of the Society of Church Consulting, Louisville, KY.

After 30 years of pastoral ministry, Bible teaching and administrative assignments, Pastor Dan Rhodes and his wife, Sheila, have been released from the local church and are ministering to the general Body of Christ. Together they have launched "Destiny Navigators," a ministry dedicated to assisting pastors, churches and all people with open hearts. He and Sheila, his bride since 1972, cherish opportunities for family time with their two married daughters and husbands, who are more like sons than sons-in-law.

Sheila RhodesSheila Rhodes received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Campbell University in North Carolina and began her career as a public school teacher in 1970. During her first year of teaching, Sheila met and later married Dan Rhodes, who was a military officer at the time. As a pastor's wife, Sheila has ministry in her heart as well. Having founded and led life-giving ministries to ladies, she knows the needs of women and how to encourage them in the Lord. She ministers with her husband and has traveled to other states and countries speaking at women's conferences and retreats. With her teaching career completed, she is able to give more time to the ministry that she and her husband have begun. Sheila has a gentle spirit and embraces the supernatural moving of God's Spirit. Through her ministry, women receive new hope and life. Building loving relationships is at the heart of Sheila's personality… she makes friends wherever she goes. She loves to celebrate the seasons of the year with creative decorating and opening her home for special ministry events. Since her retirement from teaching, Sheila thoroughly enjoys walking with her husband and sharing time with her girls.
